Dr. Crosby serves as Chair, Residency Program Director, and Professor in the Department Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She is also the Director of the Division of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery and the Director of Otolaryngic Allergy.

A native of Pennsylvania, she obtained her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College before receiving her medical degree from Drexel University. Dr. Crosby completed her residency training at Southern Illinois University and went on to complete a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Since that time, she has served as faculty at Southern Illinois University. While serving as faculty at SIU, she obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Dr. Crosby’s clinical practice includes sinus surgery and endoscopic approaches to the skull base and orbit in pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Crosby’s research interests include understanding factors that impact outcomes following endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery, gender disparity in medicine, and leadership in medicine. Dr. Crosby is the Associate Editor for the sinonasal disorders section of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. She is a member of the editorial board of both Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology. She has serves on multiple committees for AAO-HNSF, ARS, and AAOA. She is the Chair of the Rhinology Training Council and she serves on the Foundation Board for the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Crosby is passionate about education and has been nominated “SIU Surgical Educator of the Year” and Otolaryngology educator of the year and has received additional awards in education annually. She has been an invited lecturer at numerous national and international conferences where she has discussed a variety of rhinologic topics and demonstrated cadaveric Rhinologic and skull base dissections.

Hiba completed her fellowship in Rhinology on skull-based surgery in London. She has published several articles in International Journals and an international speaker in European & American academy of facial plastics. Hiba is an international faculty to several endoscopic surgery and Rhinoplasty courses. She is the vice president of Otolaryngology Society of Bahrain. Hiba is currently an executive board member and examiner of the European Board of ENT exam on a postgraduate level as well as a clinical lecturer at RCSI Bahrain teaching the undergraduate medical students of RCSI.

Dr. Hiba is also a mother to Yousif & Liana and that is her biggest achievement of all.

Nicholas R Rowan, MD is an associate professor in the departments of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Rowan is the associate director of the Johns Hopkins HHT Center of Excellence and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sinonasal and skull base disorders, including chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal tumors, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, pituitary tumors and complex skull base pathology. Dr. Rowan oversees rhinologic training in the Johns Hopkins otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency training program, is an active member of the neurorhinology fellowship program at Johns Hopkins and is further committed to postgraduate surgical training at a national level with committee efforts through the American Rhinologic Society and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation. Dr. Rowan’s research expertise includes the study of olfaction in aging, quality-of-life outcomes following endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery, and clinical trials investigating novel treatment strategies for individuals with chronic rhinosinusitis and skull base tumors.
