I joined Hamad Medical Corporation in 1995, after completing internship. I had obtained my M.B.Ch.B. From Cairo University, Egypt in1994 and later acquired my Arab Board Medical Specialization in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Certification on 21 December 2000. From the year 2006, till October 2012, I have been an Instructor in Clinical Otolaryngology in Weill Cornell Medical College, Doha-Qatar, and on 1st October 2012, I was appointed as an Asst. Professor in the same Medical College. I was promoted to the post of a Consultant on 1st April 2005, and then was appointed as the Acting Head of ORL-HNS (ENT) Section on 23rd June 2011 till to-date.I Established the subspecialty teams in the department ( Otology, Rhinology, Head & Neck). I have been the Organizer and Surgeon of the Cochlear Implant Program since 2002.
I am also the Program Training Director of Otolaryngology from 2005 till 2015, as well as an Arab Board Representative of Otolaryngology in the same year. Then, again, I was appointed as Vice Chairman of Arab Board for Medical Specialization in ORL-HNS (ENT), on 22nd February 2013. I am also the Board Member and Head of the Medical Committee in Qatar Red Crescent and the Haj Mission Committee, since 2005. I was a member of Qatar Medical license committee on 2004-2006. I am sub-specialized in otology and cochlear implant. I have also done quite a number of research works in my field of specialty.
In addition, I am a board member of Qatar Councel of Health Practitioner, also the Vice-President of Qatar Medical Society (2011), and also an active member of the ORL-HNS (ENT) Qatari Club and the GCC ORL-HNS Society since 1998. Also, I held a television show on Public Health Education on Qatar television that lasted for three years.

I am interested in diagnosis, management plan for hearing impaired adults and children, dizzy patients and patients suffer from tinnitus. I switched on, MAP, fine-tuned and re-MAP of more than three thousands (3000) sessions of all types of implantable hearing devices (cochlear implant, middle ear implants and bone-mediated implants).

Prof. A. Sameh Farid was appointed as the Minister of Health, in Jan 30th 2011.
Prof. A. Sameh Farid was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (Kasr Al Aini), Cairo University, since 2006 till Jan. 29th, 2011.
In 1985, he founded the Department of Audiological Medicine and established new programs for Master and Doctorate degrees in Audiology and Neurotology and supervised more than 150 Master & Doctorate degree thesis. He also founded the hearing, balance and speech disorders center in 1989, and Cochlear Implants and Ear Bone Bank Unit 1994.
He was appointed as Professor of Otorhinolaryngology in 1995. Prof. Farid was elected as Board member in the Egyptian Society of Otorhinolargynology, Assistant Secretary General in 2002 and Secretary Generalin 2006, till he was elected as President of the Society in 2008 .
He was a Board member in the Arabian Federation of Otolaryngological Society and elected as secretary general in 2011 . He was aboard member of the Association of Arab Universitie's scientific society for the arab Faculties of Medicine since 2007.
In 2006, Prof. Farid was appointed as Dean of Cairo University Faculty of Medicine ( Kasr Al Aini ) and Chairman of the Board of the Cairo University Hospitals (9 hospitals) with a total capacity of 5200 beds as well as Chairman of the board of 42 Clinical and Research Centers. He was also a member of the Medical sector Executive Board of the High Supreme Council of the Egyptian Universities.
Prof. Farid was vice President of the Charles Holland Center for Research and Studies in the Middle East since 2006. Prof. Farid was selected in the Advisory Board of Ras Al-Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University RAL-MSHCU (2007).
In 2010, Prof. Farid was elected as Honorary President of the Arab Society of Hearing and Balance & received many honors from different scientific societies.

Dr Dalia was graduated from faculty of medicine, Ain Shams university with first degree honor. She received the master and doctoral degree in Audiology from the same university. The doctorate dissertation was a joint project with the hereditary hearing loss laboratory University of Antwerp, Belguim. The project studied the connexin 26 whole gene mutations in Egypt. The main practice is in the field of pediatricaudiovestibular medicine including the central auditory processing disorders, genetic hearing loss. Being a university staff, she supervises a large number of MSc and MD thesis and is one of the member in the teaching and examiner board for the postgraduate students in Audiology. She contributed and participated in many workshops and seminars worldwide. Numerous presentations in many conferences were given. Ms. Duaa Khalid Nofal is the speech-language pathologist at the hearLIFE Clinic Dubai. She holds a master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Jordan, as well as a bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science. As a MED-EL accredited rehabilitations she offers Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT).
Ms. Nofal is a specialist in the evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders (developmental, neurological, phonological and articulation disorders). Her expertise includes adult and pediatric diagnostics and rehabilitation as well as clinical audiology. She has significant experience in hearing tests including tympanometry, brainstem evoked response and behavioral audiometry. Ms. Nofal was educated in fitting hearing aids, laryngeal screening and sign language. During her career she has been regularly involved in voice researches and has given presentations and held workshops on several speech and language disorder related topics. Ms. Nofal worked in Noor Al Hussein Foundation and Queen Alia Foundation for Hearing and Speech in Jordan as she has worked in Ras Al Khaimah as a speech language therapist and audiologist where she put a special focus on hearing loss treatment.
In addition to her professional activities, Ms. Nofal has been regularly involved in honorary work and is a member of the Operation Smile Organization (UAE, Jordan) and the Handicapped Family Association (UAE).
Ms. Nofal is currently completing requirements for certification as a listening and spoken language specialist (LSLS Cert. AVT) and as a MED-EL Cochlear Implant Rehabilitationist.

Dr. Iman El Danasoury is a Professor of Audiology and Head of the Audiology Unit at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She has special interest in the field of pediatric audiology. She has many publications in the area of auditory evoked potentials, cochlear implantation and hearing aids. Ms. Sneha Thakkar is Senior Audiologist at the hearLIFE Clinic Dubai. She received her Master's degree in audiology and speech language pathology from the University of Mumbai.
Ms. Thakkar has a solid experience in performing various audiology tests. Her proficiency also extends to wider audiological aspects including performing a variety of electrophysiological tests like ABR, eCochG, VEMP and ASSR. Throughout her career, Ms. Thakkar has been closely involved in evaluating candidates for cochlear implantation and then programming post implantation, conducting a battery of tests to aid in the diagnosis of various otological conditions, as well as assisting ENT surgeons in the diagnosis of vestibular conditions by performing VNG and water caloric tests.
In her previous role as a senior audiologist in the Armed Forces Hospital, Oman, Ms. Thakkar had a special interest in raising awareness on the significance of early hearing issues detection, and subsequently was an active member of the newborn hearing screening program in the hospital.
Driven by her belief in an inquisitive professional approach, Ms. Thakkar holds many certificates from several cochlear implant and hearing device academies. Furthermore, Ms. Thakkar has been and continues to take part in Otolaryngology conferences and auditory verbal therapy workshops. Ms. Thakkar is also a regular contributor to training professionals on how to conduct different audiological tests.

Dr. Al-khatib is a practicing pediatric otolaryngologist in Jeddah of Saudi Arabia. He received his fellowship from the royal college of surgeons of Canada in 2010. He then subspecialized in pediatric otolaryngology working at the Royal Children's hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Al-Khatib holds two master degrees one in science from McGill University in Canada. The second master degree is in health professional education from Sydney University in Australia. Dr. Al-Khatib has more than 28 publications in peer reviewed journals and more than 40 presentations both national and internationally
